This is the children's room in the play - "Mary Poppins".  I added the alphabet at the top of the room to help blend in the over all look of the room.

When I was a kid I remember in our early grades that we had this type of lettering but also we had a script alphabet as well.

The white house is hollow and it allowed people to come and go with out opening the door.

So many things in this room, the fireplace behind "Mary" on the left is also an opening.  We could pack the place with people and toys.
It starts with design, drawing, and completion.

Keep your alphabet wet! and your brushes ready!

Mary's Musical 2015

I admit that I am a fan with a shaky Rep. when the other team make a 97 yard touchdown from the first kick off, well ....

Sometimes we react rather than respond. I Should look at my own life, am I reacting to everything? Well sometimes.

But If you have a game plan for your life, or at least a few goals you want to accomplish then the first touchdown will not up set you.

Don't let these thing bother you we are not winners everyday but we're not losers either. You are what YOU decide. The Bible says "as a man thinks, so is he" so think right!

You know sometimes the blog needs you and sometimes I need the blog.

Keep your brushes wet!

Sometimes I have to just say it has no name. Or other times I is very much a named picture.

I have shown this picture before the splatter in the bottom and the downward gesso splash. It is rather bold for me I usually am more shy with the program.

Anyway Now is the time to try a few wild to mild paintings. Do a simple "kids book" style and then do a Picasso style.

OK get your brushes wet and your wild to mild.

Zoom zoom!

Wood is a natural insulator, it will keep things warm or cool depending. Years ago people would cut huge chunks of ice. Then use wood chips as insulation.

This winter we will go into it a little bit more prepared. I want to get it painted, Kathy said black, I don't see it but everyone have their ideas. And it is only paint.

Well short and sweet today boys.

Keep your wood skirted and your brushes wet.

Like it? It's my new Skirt.

And then there were none. Not really  it's more like a Bugs Bunny tree.

We are so happy that this got trimmed up and looks so much better. The other side where the skirting is looks so good if we can get it painted before winter it would be great.

I didn't mention that when I got that tree it was about 3 or 4 feet tall. I thought if I planted it right by the corner of the house it would look good.  But also it would grab all the down spout water. So now it's 20 feet tall!

Any way keep your brushes wet and your ax sharp.

What it looks like now!

Saturday Andy and Jon and TR all stopped by and began to work on my yard and the skirting. Thanks guys I know I couldn't have ever done any of it.

I have drawn some of these flowers and trees.

They then began to work on the skirting and cleaned it up. The water is on this side and needed to be covered.

I will try to take a picture today to let you see how different it looks.

Love you guys! Keep your ax sharp!

Every year this tree changes colors and drops her leaves. After this year when it bloomed with the tulips it was so beautiful.

I enjoy the watercolor mix because I can change up the leaves, adding color and blending the different taste of lime and lemon and orange. This makes the fall color snap.

When is the last time you looked at a tree, you  know hug a tree. LOL But no really look at the way a tree grows. Look at the bunching of the brush, or leaf formation.

So kids keep your brushes wet, your watercolors mix in water.

I feel good today!

This ole' tree is turning!
