I Didn't Like him for a Long time.

Paul Gauguin was a money broker, married and had two or three children. The standard story is he left them to paint.

The truth is more complicated than that. His mother in law and his wife said he didn't make enough money. He when to Norway with his wife to try to reconcile but it just didn't work out either.

Manet said he was a great painter, Van Gogh thought they could build an Art colony. Paul just wanted to paint with out any influence from the present world.

He painted hundreds of native girls and fauna in Tahiti. He died broke and alone.

His paintings are amazing. His story is even more sad and interesting. Go to the Cinn. Art Museum and see this picture.

Let get our brushes wet and paint on.
