Daylight and midday

Many  artist do not like to paint in Mid Day only because there is so few shadows. With the sun over head you don't see the depths of light and shadow.

Today in our area of the world we have our first snow. Yes it is only .5 of an inch but to me it might as well be a foot of snow! Yet as I look out the window before the sunrise I see the shadows and the shapes of things highlighted.

This pix is of Destin, Florida before the recent hurricane. It is about 11:30 am with almost no shadows. Again it is about learning as an artist when to paint.

Well folks keep your  brushes wet and your snow shovel close.
