Breaking the Rules

When I hear the words Breaking, in America we have so many ways that word can be used. Breaking the plate, Brake for the stop sign. Breaking the Rules, Break dancing.

In art we have many rules; don't put anything in the middle of your painting, rule of three, and always have an eye stopper. And on and on.

I see so many people get hung up on the rules they don't paint or draw at all. I say jump in and the heck with the rules. Try something and then if you want to dress it up check on the rule and adjust it.

Learn what you can then apply it.
