Halloween is gone

The seasons are changing and Halloween is gone. We are now in the two major American holidays, Thanksgiving and Christmas. I think maybe it is more about shopping than the holiday.

I see the harvest moon and the loss of the leaves on the trees. The spooky shape of the trees and how the evening changes.

That is an inspiration for this painting. The end of one season and the beginning of another. Using odd colors and shaky brush strokes to reinforce the feeling of spooks.

We can make our paintings help our viewer feel what we want them to feel.

Keep your brushes wet and stay spooky.
