I used to build the sets for the play and musicals in the county. So every back drop was a new challenge. Some times we were in the "Woods" or on the "Titanic" or even in "Oklahoma."
With so many different backdrops to do I had to pay attention to the painting and tone to set the moods for the different scenes. In every one of the sets you see a light tone and the dark tone, but the middle tone make the other two shine.
This is from "Into the Woods" the story of what happen after "ever after".
I loved doing them and painting the sets as well as building them.
Lets get our brushes wet and find the middle tone.
