Size is everything

This was fun to paint but the size is way  off. Taller is better. The color is not bad, but there is something neat about the whole picture.

He or she is all ears, must be an African elephant. India or Asian elephants have smaller ears. If I was to repaint this, which I will, I will have a picture or live model. I do believe I need to go to the Zoo.

Color can be correct in a painting yet the other parts are not. So how to hold it together? Practice, Practice, and more Practice.

Study the drawing, layout, and composition.

Keep painting and keep your  brushes wet.
