Light Sky

Many times I paint a very troubled sky. I like to get a load of clouds and rolling wind in the sky but on this one I wanted a non-compete sky.

Let the subject be the star not the sky. Then use a limited palette. I came across both ideas by studying the impressionist. They use these Ideas and more to bring new and interesting experiments forward breaking some old masters painting techniques.

No longer did the artist spend months doing glass like backgrounds. Nor did the artist spend hours and days with glazing of light or dark color. Instead an artist can do a painting in an hour or two, yes you can even spend days painting.

Okay let get our brushes wet and our sky calm.
