Light and dark

This study is just light and dark. I wanted to show the mountain in the back ground and the trees in the fore ground.

With watercolor you can do so many different effects. This was almost a mono colored painting but with the Paines  Grey and the ultramarine blue it is the two color or deuce painting.

I look back on these studies and notice little things I needed to do to improve, for example: The two birch trees are on the same plain. One needs to be in front or the other pushed back.

Try to do some little studies on paper even if it is with a pencil and paper.
Keep your brushes wet and watercolor wetter!
