Look out for the Knife

Almighty mountains made with a knife. Bob Ross and Bill Alexander's wet on wet method of painting is accented with the palette knife.

They use that little roll of paint to lay in the basic mountain shape. Then brush it out. Next using the knife again they can lightly put in the snow on the mountain side and create the lights and darks that make the mountain come alive.

I have seen artist use trowels and huge knives to make a painting. As Bob Ross says make friends with the knife and it will work for you.

Well kids let keep our brushes wet and the knife close at hand.
