Frost, Pumpkins, and the Holidays

Regardless of the weather pumpkins are about this time of year.  It seams to go together. I believe its because of the pilgrims and first Americans.

I wanted this picture to be rather simple because if I ever taught a class I wanted any one to be able to do it. Look at the picture, it is a light background with a set of shapes in the middle ground. The fore ground is also simple color with shadows around the shapes.

I've added highlights and lots of shadows to make the whole thing come together.

These are the fun ones I did a series of three to see if a simple painting would be fun!

Well keep your  brushes wet and your pumpkins ready for pie!
