Go for The Gold

This painting was an experiment in color. I wanted to try just a golden glow in the sky with high lights on the trees and surrounding brush.

I found the less color on the brush with this style of painting the better in the sky and water.

The knife makes the mountains come alive as well as the tree in front. I like the effect of the clouds and faint sun glow.

Keep your  brushes wet and go for the gold.
