See what I mean?

Most of my paintings and drawings are from the view point of the horizion. This painting is a little up from the horizion. The viewer is looking down on the river.

There are many ways to paint a painting and change the view point. One of course is the straight on or horizontal. The others are from the top looking down on the subject. The picture that comes to mind is the dancers that Degas painted. He was in a box in the theater painting the girls dancing on stage.

The other of course is the opposite looking up. Where the artist is under the subject for an odd angle. This creates drama in a painting as well.

With the advent of cameras, the phone camera especially. Crazy angles, selfies, and all kinds of stupid pictures can be taken. I know I have done it.

Try a different angle or view point for your next picture and keep your brushes wet!
