Study the cloud

Jon said, " All of it is in the cloud."
I said, "What?"
"Yes, pictures and everything."

Okay the here is a cloud lets get it out.

This cloud is over Florida a couple of years ago. I think it is called a cumulus cloud. But would you spend two years at the beginning of the naming of these various clouds?
John Constable did just that in 1850's with a scientist just then naming the clouds.

Constable painted the English countryside he is credited with the first of many that painted outside (plein air) in oils. Most artist were using watercolors doing quick little sketches. Then going back to the studio to finish the painting. Constable did too but his first oil painting truly catches the scene.

Keep  your  brushes wet and paint the clouds.
