Not what you paint, It's what they see.


It's not what you  paint, it's what they see. Once photography came to the common man artist began to see thing in a different light. They noticed somethings were blurred and others were in focus. This changed painting very dramatically.

This  is a copy of Monet's garden and trees. He added his daughters. The learning curve by painting a masterpiece of another artist FOR YOUR SELF is fantastic. The mystery of the impressionist once broken down opens a new painting door to me.

Still as we paint it is more about the viewer and what they see. One day I was in the Columbus Art Museum and a lady said she didn't understand the impressionist. I told here step back six feet and it would come together. She did and was shocked at the new picture she saw.

Look at things differently and try to let the viewer see something new.
Keep your brushes wet and look out side for something new.
