Munch a Bunch

We seem to focus on the positive, we see the here and now. The Fruit in the real but look at the shadow and highlights. Look at the dark and the reflection in the counter top.

Everything is something we have manifested  in our life. So to paint  it we need to see beyond what is in front of us. By doing so I feel we get a real and deeper feel in the project.


Look  at master pieces of food paintings in days gone by. One, people wanted to show off that they had food. Two the artist was paid to paint stuff, so every butterfly, bug, or ant in the painting he got a little more money.

Painters today paint in the abstract or realist venue of the fruit just to let use see what they see. By  painting what is beyond the food we dig deeper and have a better picture.

Well lets munch a bunch and keep our brushes wet!
