Mummies in Toledo

The first time I stopped in Dayton Art Museum I saw the Egyptian display. It was a pure accident but I was blown away. These folks did an amazing thing for the kings of Egypt.

Each one of the Mummies was an important person. The artifacts were worked on with care. It took months of preparation to make each piece of the burial jars and other things.

I suppose in today's money it would be millions for a like burial. But wow what a way to go.

Anyway Toledo Museum is having their showing of the Mummies coming up so stop by and take a look at the amazing artifacts.

And by the way in the movie the Mummy from 1930's I think I could have gotten away from him. Just saying.
