Begin The Flower

This is the beginning of my crazy big flower. I though about this painting for a long time. How was I going to frame it in the canvas. How big it would be, and how I would detail the back ground.

This is the start of course and so far so good. I needed the center to be dark and I wanted to define the leaves / petals.

The back ground is the mixture of purple and Hookers green (what?) Makes a very good dark almost black,

I used my projector to shine a picture of this flower I took some where, on the canvas and then traced it.
