From Sketch to Canvas

I like this form, and I like this painting. It started out as a sketch and went to this painting. I had a canvas with another painting on it so I just blocked it out and started with this guy.

I believe sometimes we feel the need to fill up every inch of canvas. I always have. This scenario  is just interesting it showcases the tree and dead limb, as well as the leaves.

I used a mixture of browns and a little bit of white for the bark. I also did a mixture of greens and brown and blue for the leaves.

Next I added the yellow for the highlights and sent it out into the world.
