Quick sketch of this little deer at the Marmon Valley farms was a two minute do. I had a little time to catch him as he was walking away into the barn. So with the quickest of lines I grabbed the essence of the animal.
I did several pictures that day including a horse and a peacock. By doing an impromptu drawing I latter can do a detail painting or sketch. I also was able to draw the far neighbor's farm as it lay on a "line" on the horizion.
By doing "plain air' drawings and a quick sketch it improves my art. Now don't judge me on the deer, but as I refine the piece it is better art.
Okay let's keep our pencils sharp and our brushes wet!
