Tree with knot

Trees are so strong. They give us wood for our homes, buildings and even boats. Trees gave early man tools and bowls. Trees were so much more than shade. They gave us heat and comfort.

I love trees, not like the tree huger but as a person that see the value in the wood and cover. The majestic strength and beauty of the plant. Plus I like to draw them.

This is an old oak I know about with a "catface" or knot where a limb started to grow but was knocked off at some time. That is what gives this tree interest.
