Plan Ahead for the Holidays

Every year I say I will plan ahead for the holidays. But do I, no. I wait till the week or two before, if that. I remember several years ago I was shopping on Christmas Eve.

Like everything else our Holidays or Holy Days we make them up.  We feel we are following a long standing tradition. Many are old celebrations of the winter solstices or summer and spring. Even the Fall harvest is a time to celebrate.

For me the time to be with family and eat is the main thing. Some of the the other traditions are okay but expensive. So don't get crazy just enjoy your family and give the  gift of your self.
