How thick?

I have draw things and just made a line for a timber but look again. Look at the thickness, the size, and the layer of timber.

 If you want to paint or draw it you  need to add that sizing. One wants to sketch out the X's of this bridge, but one needs to add the light and shadow. Just that little bit of thickness or sizing you get the feel of a real board.

This covered bridge is 100 years old and has been updated and refurbished. I like the look of it. Long and narrow, the distant road winding to nowhere.

So keep your brushes wet and your boards thick.
