I paint lots of trees, landscapes, and things. Over and over. Lighthouses, bridges, and the fence. Yet I think I want to change what I paint but I don't. I continue to paint them over and over.
Is it time to draw on other ideas? Go to a museum or read a different book? Or am I to keep working in the vein I am in.
Is it more important to get better as the style of painter I am? Or both? All I know it is time to continue in what I know. Writers write what they know. But as painters do we expand the world of imagination? I say yes!
Okay get weird and keep your brushes wet!
