Clouds and backgrounds

I get a kick out of painting the sky and clouds. Almost any background grabs me. The depth or the interest you can build in your  painting by looking at the clouds.

If you're not careful (like me) you can over work it. One can lose the feel of the sky. I recommend that you build from dark to light or even light to lighter.

Blending with brush and finger you can find your clouds. Scrub the brush then blend with you finger to get the desired look. Remember like everything else in your picture it has to follow the vanishing point also.
