Trees, Mountain, and Valley

This watercolor is about a birch tree I saw and have been trying to get down ever since.

With watercolor you can paint shadows for the rock in the far distance. Also with a few strokes of the brush you can indicate trees etc.

I have several of these little studies and will continue to do them. So someday soon I'll get it just right.

I know, we are our own hardest critic, but I find if I lay it down or walk away for a while Then come back later I see with new eyes.  Then sometimes It looks just right! Maybe we should do this in our regular life! Step away for a minute then come back with new eyes.

Well lets get our brushes wet and paint away.
