Trying to get Ideas

The sketch book is where I put down the ideas I get when they do come by. Sometimes you see something in a book or a TV show or even a travel idea. Now the trick is to frame it or draw it. How or where everything goes is important.

This woodland scene was something I saw on a travel show. The Birch trees the wooded background all come together for a good composition.

I sometimes feel that the drawing can be better than the painting or vice versa.

Finding things to paint is always a challenge. Sure you can paint almost anything but to get it the way you want at times is very difficult.

Keep your ideas fresh and your brushes wet.
