Run with it

Smaller and different background to make a similar painting was my goal this time. I added the birds and people also to create more interest.  I get hooked on a subject and I run with it.

The light house has always been a subject many painters like because of the shadows and mystery of the rock and trees. The Ocean is always churning  and to  protect sailors from the rock shoals we made lighthouses.

Some of the earliest light houses were not even houses at all. People on shore would stack wood, wet smoky wood in the day, and fire burning at night. In Europe and the islands in the Mediterranean sea people want to save their cargoes and friends as well.   As well as the military reasons of men and materiel.

Well let keep our brushes wet and stay away from the rocks.
