This one's for Jake!

Again I have looked to the Birch tree for inspiration. My Grandson Jake likes them because he uses the mushroom found here for cooking.

These trees are so expressive and fun to show the light against dark. The sunlight burns through the landscape in this painting.

I've tried to show the lay of the land, the rolling hills, the far distant woods, and the sunlight touching the foreground.

The canvas I bought in Hobby Lobby, and Liquidtex acrylics, cadmium yellow light mixed with Titanium White. Laying in a complete background first I then can build on top of that!
