Monet and his Tache!

Tache is as I have said, French for: to dab, stain, or splosh. In this painting I have dabbed and stained to achieve a couple things. One is the reflections and the other is the foliage in the background.

This is on canvas board from "Dick Blick" and the paint is Liquitex. I notice as I paint, the fewer colors I use the happier I am with the final result.

These "impressionistic painting thrill me and teach me to see more and leave out things not important in the painting.

I hope you enjoy today's offering the waterlilies are fun to paint but the bridge was a challenge, to show the reflection in the water and the depth.

Lets go find more waterlilies.
