Draw this Chair

I got this dusty old chair out to draw. I like the fact that it has rungs and rails and all the back stuff.

When you draw something like this you can see the designs in the wood and the seat. Yet sometimes we forget to draw the thing we don't see the back leg the shadows and the negative spaces.

When you get your sketch pad out next time, try this one. I think you'll learn a lot. The most important thing is the second drawing of it. then you can compare the two and find your mistakes or room for improvement.

These basic exercises make us a better artist. Well I have to go get a dust rag and clean up this old chair.
