When It comes Together

I know most of these paintings and the artist in the Columbus Museum of Art, but this one I can not remember. Sorry!

Yet this painting tells a lot of what we have talked about lately. Seeing something, drawing it, and then adding color. This table and flowers with the contrasting table cloth, or runner. The bright colors playing against the dark of the table.

I haven't talked about perspective but this painting is excellent  in its depth and space. Perspective Is the way we see things, wider in front and narrow in the distance. Okay its more complicated than that, but basically that's it.

This painting is colorful has very good depth and was drawn very well, I guess that is why its in a museum, everything is focused on the flowers. That is the point of the painting, look how the table runner has a circle in the center where the flowers sit. The flowers are a little the to right of the whole painting, drawing our eyes to them.

That is what we want our drawings to do draw the viewers eyes to our focal point. Keep drawing!
