Count Your Blessing - Values

This project for me was to show the limited values of color. It began on a recycled canvas with lots of under texture. Accident or not I really like the finished product.

Yesterday we went to our Chemo trip and we had a great guest Our son Dan, so now all three of our boys have sat and talked and laughed with us in a some what otherwise rough day.

Side note from Uncle Bud, Ohio State Wexner/James,  Ross hospital in Columbus is the top of the top as far as I am concerned.

Now back to the painting, notice the few colors the blues dark to light. the warm reds in the lower corner, repeating the reds from the sky. By using warm colors and cool colors we can build contrast and again that is what we are striving for to create a "picture" and enable us to count our blessings and Values.

So to day lets recover a little bit, and wash up the brushes and get them wet tomorrow but think about what we want to paint today.
