Love of Lighthouses -1,2,3

I suppose you could say Uncle Bud Loves lighthouses. You would be right! They are fun to see and great to paint. I believe it is a combination of many things.

One; Water and sky, you can have smooth or wild water as well as a troubled sky or vice versa ( I wouldn't have both crossed. A rough sky and a smooth ocean.)

Two; Rocks and land masses, you can have interesting rocks and shore lines. High headlands and far off water coming to the land. Trees and shrubs.

Three; The lighthouses its self. The home of the keeper or the workers that kept the light house lighted. Most of the lighthouses today are run by computer and radio controls very little usage by human hand. I think the lost "romance of the life" also is part of the draw to lighthouses. Around the great lakes in the Northeast and Midwest we have so many lighthouse I even created a PIN on Pintrest  of dozens of the great majestic lighthouse.

Well another day to dip in and get our brushes wet.
