Train Depot - Antietam MD.

Sharpsburg, Maryland in 1862 was the center of the world. The Civil War had come to small town America. This depot was in the Rebel hands at the time.

I took this picture just for the architecture. The way the old timers built these buildings always fascinate me  and it will be a good reference for another time if you want to paint these type of buildings.

This building was probably rebuilt at some time but still it is a cool building.

When you go out in the area and paint take lots of pictures because you never know what may hit you at a later date or what someone may want you to paint.

General Lees headquarters was about 500 yards from this place and I think in the coming years thru the next few wars and times of peace this was a very important place to this town.

What say you and I get our brushes wet and paint this cool place?
