Upstream On the Betsie

In the late seventy's they, the Michigan DNR, took out the dam. Behind this water falls was the most beautiful lake. Fishing, hunting and mushroom hunting these we my childhood. I would play here while the adults did these activity's and more.

This river is called the Betsie and I don't know why but it winds thru the area and is very scenic.

I have drawn this place also. On the right bank looking down on the dam. I remember the fishermen lining the banks. Fish ( Coho Salmon) jumping up the weir.

This is a great picture to paint or draw because of the water and rocks.

Well kids keep your brushes wet and pencils sharp!
