Fish and Color

In school I did a painting of fish and coral on a giant canvas. The painting I did was just two colors but if you look to the seas you find many colors.

This is in the Newport Aquarium, Newport, Kentucky. We took several pictures and toured the Aquarium with our grandchildren. I can see if you did abstract or even expressionism these colors would be a great addition to your painting.

Somethings in nature are very much color coded, purple frogs are a no no. ( Don't eat this one.) Butterfly's are even color camouflaged. Fish use the colors to attract a mate or repel an attacker.

This little fish is so cool, the long top fin and the yellow and white with the black stripes. If you watch "Dory" you may recognize him as one of the fish in the tank at the dentist office. I like the fact we got him swimming to the side.

Well lets keep our brushes wet. Paint some fish.
