Shadow Clouds

One of the hardest thing to capture is the shadow side of clouds. I have used many techniques to do so and yet it sometimes it evades me, other times it won't. These clouds are somewhere in the middle.

I wanted to show a movement in the sky as well as the ocean. letting the sky almost dictate to the water. Wind creating movement.

If you have ever been lost on the water and looked to the shore for a lighthouse or a landmark it becomes very important for those markers. You strain your eyes to find them.

Shadows and light, if you read this blog more than a few times you know how important it is to show the light and dark. I try to put in the dark shapes first then the light. This draws the eye to the light.

Well Look up today you may see a shadow in the clouds and keep your brushes wet!
