Thomas and the Guitar

Spring morning on the bench, a little song to match the birds. This my grandson Thomas, or as we call him TR.  As a picture I see this as a classic drawing or painting.

I would eliminate the guitar case, and darken the back ground, but the sunlight is great. You could take the person (TR) and move him around he could be inside or out, he could be on a tree stump or a bench in a park. The lights and darks are very important in this picture.

If you look in the far woods the darks are so neat. The bright light in the foreground is very bright and also makes an interesting lighting effect. By drawing the person first an then adding the rest of the scenes then you get a cool painting.

This is one pix you can draw and learn from if you were to sketch it on a regular basis. Do a little quick body shape of TR, then add other stuff. Trees are the easy part, but the light and round shape of the tree is what makes it look like what you want. So work on your round shapes, then the horizontal of the bench. By doing quick little thumbnails of this pictures you can learn a lot!

Well lets sharpen our pencils and keep our brushes wet!
