Pencil Me In

These 12 colors give me most of the colors and shades I need for an average picture. I can get most shade or values with them and I need to add white charcoal for my highlights.

These colors are LYRA pencils from Germany. I have used them for the last 10 years. They give me what I want in a picture you may remember the barn picture and the trees I've done.

I find myself using my hand sideways with these pencils I get a different line or shade. Not like drawing point on. Hatching is another way to line a project. When I draw I have to look at the many and different ways to make a line, point on, hatching, shading, and dotting.
