What Story - My Story

I have said every painting has a story. Modern Art and those that say whats what tell me "No It Doesn't."

Art started out as a story. The cave man depicted his hunt or how the hunt would end. Move ahead a few hundred years and the church used artist to tell the "Story of the bible" - you see people could not read.

Now along came the impressionist who said this painting is of this place - what no story - Look at Monet's "Woman with parasol."

Van Gogh's self portrait with ear cut off. Now then does every paint - drawing tell a story? Not necessarily but the underlying basis is some kind of story is there.

This drawing is telling a story of me setting in the car waiting on Kathy at the fabric store. LOL

So keep your drawing pad close and your pencils sharp, and your brushes wet!
